The Mirage F.1 was designed as a multi role fighter aircraft to replace the Mirage III. The main difference visually is that the Mirage F.1 does not have delta wings like the other Mirage aircraft. It entered service with the French Air Force in 1974 and has since been exported to other air forces in a number of different roles. The Mirage F.1 has seen action in many conflicts in including the First Gulf War, Iran-Iraq War and Afghanistan. It has since been replaced in service with the French Air Force by both the Mirage 2000 and Rafale. It is still in service with a few air forces but most have retired them in favour of newer aircraft. The F.1C was designed as an all weather interceptor and served with the French Air Force and a number of other air forces.

This kit is injection moulded plastic with and it looks quite well detailed with fine engraved panel lines with decals provided for 4 different Mirages of the French Air Force.
