It entered service in 1950, powered by a Rolls Royce Merlin engine and featuring side by side seating for the 2 crew. It was withdrawn from RAF service in 1957, as jet powered advanced trainers were now available.
The Sea Balliol was similar to the Balliol T 2 but had folding wings and arrestor hooks for use on Aircraft Carriers and for simulated carrier deck landings. They were last used by the FAA in 1963.
Special Hobby is a Czech based manufacturer and this is their 1/72 Sea Balliol T21 kit.
This is a detailed multimedia kit, consisting of mostly injection moulded plastic parts but with additional resin and photo etch metal parts. This kit differs from the RAF as the wings can be folded and an arrestor hook is provided
Markings are provided for 4 Sea Balliol T 21's.
