The Ba.88 was an advanced twin engined ground attack aircraft built before WW2. Prototypes established several world speed records but when military equipment, such as guns, ammunition, radios etc, were added the aircraft's performance deteriorated so much that it could barely take off and the performance was well short of the prototypes. When they were operating in the desert, sand filters were fitted, this proved too much for some aircraft which actually failed to take off from lack of power. Attempts to lessen weight had little effect and the remaining aircraft were stripped of useful equipment and used on airfields as decoys.
MPM are from the Czech Republic. The kits are made in injection moulded plastic and the kit looks to be nicely detailed with fine engraved panel lines.
Markings are provided for 3 different Italian aircraft.
