The IAI Nesher is an Israeli built jet fighter based on the Mirage 5 air frame. It was fitted with an Israeli built version of the French Mirage's Atar engine and Israeli avionics. It was a multi-role fighter, seeing action in the Yom Kippur war of 1973, as both an attack aircraft and fighter. The Nesher was withdrawn in 1977 in favour of the Kfir, to be refurbished and sold to Argentina.
The Argentine air force used the Neshers to attack British forces in the Falklands war, damaging several Royal Navy warships but lost 11 in doing so, 9 of which were shot down by Royal Navy Sea Harriers. They were retired from service in 2015 by the Argentine air force.
Kinetic are from Hong Kong and are relatively new. They have recently released a range 1/48 aircraft including not only this Nesher but different versions of the Mirage 2000, F-5A and F-16. Kinetic kits are highly detailed, using engraved panel lines and are known for having plenty of choice for ordnance on the models. This kit has the parts and decals to make either one of two different single seat, or one of two different twin seat Israeli Neshers.
Note the decals are printed by Cartograf.
