ORP Garland was a Polish navy destroyer that was transferred from the Royal Navy in 1940. She was part of he G class destroyers built for the Royal Navy and sister ship of the more famous HMS Glowworm. The G class were a standard type of RN destroyer and similar to the A through I classes. Most of her war service was escorting convoys, mainly protecting them against U-boats, her main guns and torpedo armament were reduced in favour of sonar and an increase in depth charges and other anti submarine weapons. She survived the war and transferred back to the Royal Navy in 1946. She was then sold on to the Dutch navy and used as an anti submarine training ship until she was scrapped in 1964.
IBG's ORP Garland kit depicts her in 1944 after refitting as an anti submarine escort. The kit is well detailed and comes with decals and a decent fret of etch metal parts. Note that this is only a waterline kit and has no lower hull.
