The A-10 Thunderbolt II is a Close Air Support aircraft in service with the USAF. It enterted service in 1977 and is still in service today. It's primary weapon is the GAU-8 Avenger 30mm gatling cannon that is capable of destroying heavily armoured targets such as tanks. It can also carry an array of guided bombs and air to surface missiles, for attacking a variety of ground targets. Although slow for a military jet, it is robust and well armoured and has proven lethal against ground targets.
Hobby Boss are a relatively new company to us in Western Europe. They are from China and are connected with Trumpeter. Hobby Boss are known for producing well engineered kits with a good level of detail.
This particular kit looks very well detailed and comes with a selection of ordnance. There are markings for 2 USAF aircraft.
