The Hanriot HD.2 was a French WW1 floatplane that was based on the HD.1 fighter. It was meant to defend seaplane bases from air attack. Wheeled versions were used by the French and US Navies to test launch aircraft from platforms on battleships and by the French Navy as a trials aircraft for their then new Aircraft Carrier, Bearn.
