The Mirage III was a supersonic multi role fighter designed and built in the late 1950's by the French company Dassault. The Mirage IIIC was a pure fighter version designed with cannons and able to carry air-to-air missiles. The CJ is the export version build for the Israeli Air Force. The Israeli Air Force took delivery of the Mirages from 1962-64 and they were used very successfully in the six day war of 1967 and the Yom Kippur War of 1973, the Israeli pilots proved more than a match for the Arab pilots even the famed MiG-21.
This is Eduard's Mirage III 1/48 Profipack kit and it looks very nice. The kit comes with a set of colour photo etch parts, wheel + window mask and markings for 5 aircraft, from the French, Israeli and South African air forces.
