EDK70154 1/72 Messerschmitt Bf-109F-2 ProfiPACK
- Customer Reviews
The Bf109F was a major redesign of the type with new wings, cooling system and aerodynamics. It retained the DB601 engine but with a more powerful version of it and all the armament was concentrated in the nose. It first entered service at the end of the Battle of Britain and proved to be superior to the Spitfire Mk I and II, speeding up the development of the Spitfire V. The main variants were the F2 and F4, which came into mass service in 1941 and were replaced in production by G series aircraft in mid 1942. The F series were considered by many to be the best pure fighter variant of the 109.
This Profipack Edition contains 1 of Eduard's excellent Messerschmitt Bf109F kits, complete with the usual canopy/wheel mask + photo etch metal parts. Decals are for 6 different Bf109F-2's.
