AZM7650 1/72 DHC-1 Chipmunk 'RAF & BAF'
- Customer Reviews
The DH Chipmunk was De Havilland's first post WW2 aircraft, entering service in 1946. It replaced the Tiger Moth in many air forces as the main basic trainer, most notably in the RAF and RCAF with the last RCAF trainers being withdrawn in 1972. Chipmunks continued flying in other air forces and organisations, such as the British ATC which flew them until 1996.
This looks like a nice little kit from AZ with finer detailing than older Chipmunk kits. There are decals for 3 different Chipmunks from the RAF's BBMF, a privately owned on in RAF markings and one in Belgian Air Force markings
